Woodsmith had a companion project to the cradle I built prior using the same spindles similar design and the same joinery.

I had some spare spindles from the Cradle project and since these pieces are small, it did not cost a lot in materials. I bought additional spindles and made two of them. I don't remember if I made both of these at the same time or two separate projects. Turned out well although, have not had much use for them without finding a nice place for them to be put in the house.

Finished same as the cradle. As I remember, minwas Early American Stain with Antique Tung Oil High Gloss (not at all glossy btw, which is good) finish.

They turned out well. As you can see from the dusty photos, we have not really used them too much. Have to find a good place for them, they are pretty nice actually.
